About
Families In Harmony, the nonprofit arm of The Harmony Home Family Resource Center, was founded to expand access to essential services by reducing barriers for families. We believe that every parent and child deserves the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive together, regardless of financial circumstances or the challenges they face. Our mission is to uplift families through community-based programs that promote healing, strengthen connections, and foster stability within the family unit.
Our approach is rooted in compassion, dignity, and a deep understanding of the challenges families face. By combining practical resources with supportive guidance, we create a safe and nurturing environment where families can rebuild trust, strengthen relationships, and establish a foundation for lasting well-being. Through these efforts, Families In Harmony seeks not only to support individual families but also to foster healthier, stronger communities.
Harmony Reentry & Reunification Program
Building on this mission, our flagship initiative, the Harmony Reentry & Reunification Program, provides six months of comprehensive support for mothers returning from prison as they work toward reconnecting with their children.
The program addresses immediate needs such as safe housing, transportation, stability, and employment readiness, while also offering structured supports including parental education, therapy, case management, and supervised visitation. By focusing on rebuilding family bonds, the program equips mothers with the guidance, resources, and support necessary to strengthen relationships and establish a foundation for lasting stability and well-being.
